Refund and Cancellation Policy
Lalani & Co. Chartered Accountants

At Lalani and Co. Chartered Accountants (referred to as “the Firm”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), we strive to deliver high-quality professional services in auditing, taxation, corporate compliance, and financial advisory.

Since our Firm provides customized professional services rather than physical goods, our Refund and Cancellation Policy is governed by the terms explicitly laid out in the formal Engagement Letter or Service Agreement executed between the Firm and the Client.

By engaging our services or making a digital payment via our website lalaniandco.in, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Engagement-Based Cancellations

Pre-Work Cancellation: A client may request the cancellation of a professional engagement before any work has commenced or before any resource allocation has taken place. Such requests must be submitted in writing to our official email address.

In-Progress Cancellation: Once work on an assignment has commenced (e.g., draft audits prepared, tax computations initiated, or company incorporation documents drafted), the engagement cannot be cancelled mid-way unless explicitly permitted under the specific terms of your signed Engagement Letter.

Termination by the Firm: Lalani and Co. reserves the right to terminate or suspend an engagement if the client fails to provide necessary source documentation, provides fraudulent information, or fails to clear outstanding professional invoices.

2. Refund Policy for Professional Fees

No Refunds for Completed Work: Because professional services involve dedicated hours, expert analysis, and resource deployment, no refunds will be issued once a service, report, certificate, or tax filing has been completed and delivered to the client.

Partial Refunds: If an engagement is cancelled by mutual written consent before completion, a partial refund may be considered. This will be calculated after deducting the costs for the professional hours already spent and expenses incurred by our team up to the date of cancellation.

Processing Timeline: Approved refunds will be processed and credited back to the client’s original payment method (Bank Account, Net Banking, or UPI) within 7 to 10 business days from the date of written approval.

3. Government Fees and Out-of-Pocket Expenses

Non-Refundable Statutory Fees: Any fees paid to government portals, regulatory authorities, or statutory bodies—including but not limited to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Income Tax Department, GSTN, Trademark Registry, or Stamp Duty authorities – are completely non-refundable. Lalani and Co. holds no liability for refunds of such statutory amounts once paid.

Out-of-Pocket Expenses: Any travel, printing, courier, or administrative expenses incurred specifically for the client’s assignment are non-refundable.

4. Duplicate or Erroneous Payments

In the event that a client makes a duplicate payment or overpays an invoice due to a technical glitch or banking error via our online payment gateway, the excess amount will be adjusted against future invoices or refunded in full upon verification.

The client must notify us of any payment discrepancies within 48 hours of the transaction, providing the relevant transaction ID and bank receipt.

5. Disputes and Grievances

Any disputes regarding billed amounts, service delivery, or refund calculations must be formally raised with the handling partner or sent to our administrative email. All disputes are subject to mutual resolution or the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India as specified in our core Terms and Conditions.
